How are donated monies applied?

Purchasing and replenishing of non perish food items for Food Pantry & Vouchers

The Food Pantry on average provides  80-100 people weekly with enough food for at least 3 days.

The Food Voucher Program was designed to help decrease the demanding load of Food Pantry. The program allows the client to take a pre approved food voucher to a local participant grocery store . The client is trained by our staff on food voucher guidelines before shopping for food that is beneficial to their family size and dietary needs. The value of the vouches various from $25.00 to $ 200.00.

Assist with paying  utility bills

People are suffering all around with us high utility bills, for some it might mean going without the medicine they needs or buying food for their family.  We offers limited financial assistance for those hard times. This service is offer to a household once a year to ensure we are not serving the same client over and over.  Once the client is approved by one of our qualified staff member a pledge payment will be made to utility company. The average utility bill is between $100.00- $350.00.

Assist with rental payment

Client who qualified will get assistance toward rental payment that is a month or more late. Often times due to unemployment, work hours being cuts or sickness, the client needs a helping hand. The average financial assistance can range from $100.00 to $300.00 for approved client. Then the pledge amount check is mailed directly to the landlord.

Replenish educational material for parenting classes (Earn While You Learn Program =EWYL)

The EWYL program is designed to assist anyone who has a child under the age of 2 or is pregnant with educational knowledge and material to lighten the load of a growing family.

Baby items; cribs, pack n play (play pen) pampers (all sizes) clothes from newborn to toddlers.
